Business leaders set to examine risk, investments and global
economic uncertainty
In today’s increasingly uncertain global
economic environment, maintaining a comprehensive investment
strategy is critical to the competitiveness and success of all
businesses. Business leaders must be able to provide their
companies, investors and employees with the best options for
investment. Knowledge of emerging investment opportunities and
risks in global markets, strategies to deal with catastrophic
and terrorist risks and the best practices in investment and
risk management are all critical success factors for business
leaders.
The Caribbean Centre for Monetary Studies (CCMS) in
collaboration with the Caribbean Association of Industry and
Commerce (CAIC) will host a Risk Management and Investments
Seminar on May 5th at the Hilton Hotel and Conference Centre.
The seminar has been designed to provide business leaders, chief
executives, government representatives and senior
representatives from international financial institutions with a
forum for the discussion and examination of methods of risk and
investment management.
Additionally, new investment opportunities in the Caribbean and
tools for the management of risk will be exposed to
participants. Presenters will utilize factual examples to
identify shortcomings, explore solutions and make
recommendations to deal with the challenges faced by businesses
in the areas of risk management and investments.
Recommendations from the Seminar will be submitted to regional
governments, Caricom Secretariat and developmental agencies to
provide them with investor-friendly policies, which may be used
in the development of Caribbean economies. Interested persons
are invited to register with Ms. Je-Anne Borneo
(jborneo@wow.net)
at the CAIC Secretariat at (868) 623-4830, or
Mrs. Arlene Caton
(acaton@fss.uwi.tt)
of the CCMS at (868) 645-1174.
