ORGANIZATION
HOW IS THE BANK ORGANIZED?
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
At the head of the Central Bank
is the Board of Directors which is appointed by the Minister of
Finance. It is responsible for the policy and general
administration of the Bank.
GOVERNOR
The Governor, who is appointed by
the Minister of Finance, serves as Chief Executive Officer of
the Bank and Chairman of the Board. He / She is responsible
to the Board of Directors for the execution of its policy and
the management of the Bank.
DEPUTY GOVERNORS
The Deputy Governor (Operations)
is responsible for the operations of the following departments:
Accounts, Banking, Currency and Investments, Foreign Exchange and Export
Credits while the Deputy Governor,
Research and Supervision is responsible for the operations of
the Research, Management Information Systems and the Bank
Supervision Departments.
SENIOR MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE
A
Senior Management Committee comprising the Governor, Deputy
Governors, Advisors and two Senior Directors, meets weekly to
review and give direction regarding the Bank’s operations and
policies.
FULL MANAGEMENT
A
management meeting comprising the Governor, Deputy Governors,
the Secretary, Advisers to the Governor and Directors and Deputy
Directors of Departments is convened fortnightly to share
information and receive direction to guide their operation
portfolios.
OPERATIONS DIVISION
Within the Operations Division
are three departments:
- Accounts
- Banking, Currency and
Investments
- Foreign Exchange and Export
Credits
RESEARCH AND SUPERVISION DIVISION
Within the Research and
Information Division are three departments:
- Bank Supervision
- Management Information Systems
- Research
