The Financial Stability Report is an annual publication produced jointly by the Central Bank of Barbados and the Financial Services Commission (FSC). The report examines the soundness of Barbados’ financial system, including analysing the ability of different sectors such as commercial banks, credit unions, trust and finance companies, and insurance companies to withstand shocks, sudden unexpected events.
Carlon Walkes, Senior Economist at the Central Bank and head of its financial stability unit, sat down with the Bank’s Chief of Corporate Communications, Novaline Brewster, to give an overview of the findings of the 2019 report.
