About the Seminar
Since 1981 the Central Bank of Barbados’ Annual Review Seminar has provided a stimulating discussion forum for economists, academics and practitioners in the areas of economics, finance, and related areas.
As we celebrate our 45th Anniversary, it is our pleasure to invite you to our 37th Annual Review Seminar, to be held from July 25-28, 2017 in Barbados.
Seminar Theme
This year’s theme “Practical Solutions to Strengthen Economic Growth and Adjustment in Small Open Economies” underscores the need for continued discourse on finding feasible approaches to mitigate the economic and financial challenges still faced by small open economies. Against this backdrop, economic researchers must rethink economic orthodoxy to provide adequate, timely and actionable policy advice if Caribbean economies are to balance achieving macro-economic and financial stability with creating and maintaining opportunities for economic growth and development.
Papers are welcomed from academics and practitioners in the field of economics, finance, international trade, or any related discipline. Persons not presenting a paper, but interested in our stimulating and policy-oriented discussions, are also invited.
Seminar Topics
