This paper focuses on the use of foreign trade credits by Barbadian firms over the period 1978-86. It discusses the determinants of trade credits, presenting the alternative theories in the literature. It also examines the trend in trade credit usage in Barbados, and looks at the sectoral distribution. The last section summarizes the results.
