The Central Bank family is extremely saddened by the passing of our former Deputy Governor, Carlos Holder. During his 18 years at the Bank, Carlos contributed significantly to its work as well as its social and sporting activities.
Carlos was a well-loved member of the Research Department, where he was regarded as an outstanding analyst, rising to the level of Senior Economist.
Years later, as Deputy Governor, the Bank benefited from his obvious administrative skills and experience. Central bankers, the economics profession and the wider society will miss his incisive comments, quick wit and pleasant personality. Carlos was 66 years old.
