Central Bank of Barbados Governor Dr. Kevin Greenidge will hold his first press conference on Wednesday, April 26 at 11:00 a.m. when he delivers the Bank’s review of Barbados’ economic performance in the first three months of 2023. The event will be livestreamed on the Bank’s Facebook page and YouTube channel.
As part of the review, Governor Greenidge will discuss the performance of key sectors, including tourism; provide an update on important economic indicators such as the debt-to-GDP ratio, inflation, and unemployment; and reveal Barbados’ fiscal performance during fiscal year 2022/23 (April 2022-March 2023).
During the hour-long press conference, Governor Greenidge will take questions from the media as well as the public, who can pose their questions in the chat of either the Facebook or YouTube livestream, by email to communications@centralbank.org.bb, or via WhatsApp to (246) 266-8830.
