Nicholas Stapleton, a second-year University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus student, was awarded the 2014/2015 Central Bank of Barbados Scholarship for excellence in Economics and Mathematics.
“I am proud, honoured and delighted to be awarded this scholarship, and I wish to thank everyone at the Bank for acknowledging my hard work,” Nicholas commented after receiving his prize at a ceremony at UWI on April 7, 2015.
On completion of his undergraduate studies at the Cave Hill Campus, Nicholas will be pursuing studies abroad in Actuarial Science.
Nationals of Barbados who are entering Level II of the BSc. (Economics and Mathematics/ Accounting) programme at the Cave Hill Campus are eligible for the two-year award, valued at Barbados $6,000 per annum.
