Alwyn Jordan is the Acting Governor of the Central Bank of Barbados.
Before being named Acting Governor, he served as Deputy Governor, a post he assumed in October 2019. In that capacity, he had responsibility for the Bank’s Research and Economic Analysis, Bank Supervision, and the Management Information Systems departments, and was Chair of the joint Financial Oversight Management Committee (FOMC).
His research interests include monetary policy issues, macro-prudential policy developments, currency regimes, and economic forecasting.
Mr. Jordan holds a BSc. Economics and Accounting from the University of the West Indies and an MSc. Finance and Economics from the University of Southampton, United Kingdom.
Prior to joining the Bank, Mr. Jordan served as Manager of the Research Department at the Central Bank of The Bahamas.
