This paper examines the issues and problems encountered by Barbados in the implementation of the fifth edition of the International Monetary Fund manual. The main benefits of implementation to-date is the highlighting of the sub-component of several items, since this allows readers the opportunity to observe the main actors in any transaction. However, as the paper has shown, there are several problems which face Barbados, some of which may take lengthy periods before a solution is reached.
