The paper examines taxation in Barbados and offers a case for tax reform, which would seek to reduce the tax reform on individuals and the wider private sector; simplify the existing tax structure; encourage the growth of foreign exchange earning sectors relative to foreign exchange using sectors; upkeep an optimally sized government sector and to improve the administration of the tax system.
