The Central Bank of Barbados is seeking to fill a temporary post of Senior IT Governance Analyst, Office of the Governor, on contract for one year.
Job Summary
This position provides support for the development, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of the IPS assurance and control framework, IPS security posture and business continuity, cloud operational resilience, and data privacy, including documentation, risk management, governance and process improvement, and associated processes to meet business outcomes. It also assists with the oversight of the process for tracking open IT audit findings, security posture, and systemic issues
Key Duties and Responsibilities
The duties and responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with the coordination and provision of direct support to departments with open IT audit findings raised by the Bank's internal and external auditors
- Assisting with the preparation of open IT audit findings progress reports to the Governor
- Assisting with the design and implementation of a comprehensive IT audit and assurance framework for the IPS infrastructure and ecosystem
- Assisting with identification of applicable IPS Audit and Assurance Framework standards and guidance
- Assisting in ensuring the framework is operationally grounded and audit-ready
- Assisting with the assessment of IPS Security Posture and the identification of material gaps relative to applicable frameworks and best practice
- Assisting with the development or enhancement of business continuity plans specific to the IPS
- Assisting with the preparation of and reporting findings and recommendations to the Governor.
- Assisting with the review and assessment of the Bank's cloud-based solutions with respect to operational resilience, including business continuity procedures in the event of data centre failures
- Assisting with the examination of data residency and data protection arrangements across cloud platforms and identify areas of non-compliance or elevated risk
- Assisting with the development of recommendations to address identified gaps, with particular attention to inter alia, business continuity, data residency obligations, and applicable data privacy requirements

Establish and maintain good working relationships with members of staff, suppliers and external customers like other financial institutions
Education/Experience
- A Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, computer engineering, information systems, or a related field and five years’ relevant experience and/or certification in at least of the following, e.g. CISA, CRISC, CGEIT, CISSP, CISM
OR
- A Master’s Degree in an information technology-related field and two years’ relevant experience and/or certification in at least of the following e.g. CISA, CRISC, CGEIT, CISSP, CISM
Desired:
- A minimum of five years' experience in IT governance, IT audit, or IT risk management
- Familiarity with IT regulatory and assurance frameworks: NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, SOC 2
- Experience with cybersecurity assessment, network infrastructure review, and IT business continuity planning
- Familiarity with SWIFT Customer Security Programme (CSP) audit requirements is an asset
- Knowledge of IT general controls, application controls, cybersecurity, and disaster recovery/business continuity
- Project Management Professional Certification (PMP), PRINCE2
- Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC)
