The Central Bank of Barbados (the Bank) advises the public that the suspension imposed on Zeemoney (Barbados) Limited (Zeemoney) from May 5, 2026, to June 4, 2026, has now concluded.
The suspension was implemented pursuant to Section 50(1)(c) of the Financial Institutions Act, Cap. 324A (FIA), and was intended to address specific matters requiring the attention of the institution.
On conclusion of the suspension period, Zeemoney has taken the decision to wind up its operations in Barbados in accordance with Section 53 of FIA.

The Bank remains committed to maintaining a safe and sound financial system and will work with the licensee to ensure that the wind-up is carried out in an orderly manner.
