The Central Bank of Barbados is alerting the public to a fraudulent website – centralbankorg.com – which is not affiliated with the Bank in any way.
This website falsely claims that customers must connect their personal bank accounts online for “re-verification” to avoid suspension. This is a scam. The Central Bank does not request personal banking information or direct account connections from members of the public.
Please be advised:
Anyone who may have submitted their information via the fraudulent site should contact their bank immediately and report the incident to The Barbados Police Service's Cyber Crime Unit.
