Without prior permission from the Central Bank Authorised Dealers may issue, confirm, advise and amend documentary credits for non-resident beneficiaries under the following conditions:
1. Validity of the credits does not exceed nine (9) months. In the case of imports covered by a specific license the validity should not extend beyond the expiry date or licence.
2. The terms call for sight payments or drafts drawn for usances should not exceed one hundred and eighty (180) days after sight or date of drawing and that all Exchange Control requirements are met.
