In June 2026, the Central Bank of Barbados will introduce BiMPay, a national instant payment system that will allow users to send and receive money to anyone, anywhere in Barbados on a 24/7/365 basis with both parties receiving confirmation of the transaction and the recipient having immediate access to their money.
