In an effort to reduce face to face contact during the COVID-19 outbreak, persons and businesses submitting application and other forms to the Central Bank of Barbados can do so electronically, starting immediately.
Exchange control forms can be downloaded here. The completed applications, along with supporting documentation, should then be sent to foreignexchange@centralbank.org.bb Once processed, the forms will also be returned via email.
Persons submitting forms to the Bank’s Banking and Investments department can submit their documents in this way as well. Treasury-related documents should be sent to bankingops@centralbank.org.bb, while investment managers should direct theirs to investmentunit@centralbank.org.bb
Brewster advised everyone conducting business with the Central Bank to continue to monitor the organisation’s website and social media pages. “This continues to be a very fluid situation, so there could be additional changes to our procedures. If and when that happens, we will update the public using our online channels.”
