The Central Bank of Barbados today announced the appointment of a new Deputy Governor. Alwyn Jordan, an economist, will assume the post on October 1, 2019.
“Alwyn is an experienced central banker who has worked at the Central Bank of Barbados and the Central Bank of the Bahamas” Governor Haynes commented. “He will be a valuable addition to our team here at the Bank as we continue to work with government to restore macroeconomic stability. We look forward to welcoming him back to the Bank.”
Jordan, was most recently Manager of the Research Department at the Central Bank of Bahamas.
In his new role as Deputy Governor, Jordan will oversee the Bank’s Research and Economic Analysis (READ), Bank Supervision, and Management of Information Systems (MIS) departments.
