Central Bank to Host Know Your Money Seminar
The Central Bank of Barbados will host its annual Know Your Money seminar on Wednesday, October 6, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. to 11: 30 a.m. in the Grande Salle of the Tom Adams Financial Centre.
The seminar, which is part of the Central Bank’s public outreach programme, will be conducted by Mr. Matt West, Regional Manager for De La Rue, the company that prints local banknotes.
“This seminar is intended to make Barbadians more familiar with the design and security features in our banknotes so they can better protect themselves from counterfeiters,” explained Julia Weekes, the Director of Banking, Currency & Investments at the Bank. “We encourage anyone who deals with money on a regular basis to attend.”
Know Your Money is free of charge and is open to the public.
