The Central Bank of Barbados advises that the go-live date for BiMPay, the new national instant payment system, is revised to Friday, June 12, 2026. This decision follows a thorough assessment of participant readiness and allows for completion of interoperability testing across all participating institutions.
BiMPay remains a national priority. The Central Bank continues to work with all participating institutions toward a safe and fully functional launch on June 12, 2026.
In the interim, customers of financial institutions can continue to use the existing electronic payment services through the Automated Clearing House, which will remain in operation until BiMPay goes live.
