Barbadians may be confident of our future, because our development strategy is founded on policies that have been successful until now, based on the Barbados brand and the sources of competitiveness that we have established and maintained over many years. We do need to remove the obstacles to growth, and there will be dislocations in the transition to a higher growth path, which must be managed in a sympathetic way.
