Food safety and handling will be the topic for April’s University in the Community Lunchtime Lecture, which takes place Thursday, April 26, 2018 at 12 noon in the Courtney Blackman Grande Salle. The event is free of charge and open to the public.
During the lecture, which is a collaboration between the University of the West Indies Open Campus and the Central Bank of Barbados, Trevor Taylor, Senior Environmental Health Officer at the Ministry of Health will talk about the correct way to handle, prepare and store food to avoid foodborne illnesses.
University in the Community is a long-running monthly lecture series that explores a range of topics. Past presentations have focused on healthcare costs, accessibility for the disabled, and cryptocurrencies.
