This paper employs a dynamic tourism gravity model to assess the competitiveness of Caribbean destinations. Using data on 22 Caribbean countries between 1980 and 2002, the framework expresses annual tourist arrivals from major source markets as a function of various destinationspecific, source market-specific and time-specific effects.
