This study examines the productivity impact of ATM deployment in the Barbados banking industry over the period 1979-2001 using a Cobb-Douglas production function specification augumented with AATM implementation dummies. The panel regressions show that the introduction of ATMs increased bank productivity by 3% to 18 %.
