The purpose of this paper is to analyse the capital structure of firms in Barbados. The study seeks to determine the factors which influence the choices firms make between debt and equity financing. The problem of debt equity choice of the firm is examined as its choice of financing investment through debt in the form of bank loans and equity in the form of financing on the stock market.
