This study utilizes the concepts of real exchange rate, the relative unit labour costs, and the real effective exchange rates to give some indications of the relative gains or losses in price and/or export competitiveness in Barbados, Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago. It also attempts to examine the extent to which the price competitiveness of Barbados' exports may have suffered vis-a-vis Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago as a result of these devaluations.
