Register Now for the Central Bank of Barbados’ 42nd Annual Review Seminar

Author(s): Central Bank Of Barbados

General registration is now open for the Central Bank of Barbados’ 42nd Annual Review Seminar, “Adapting to the New Normal: Avenues for Economic Growth and Sustainable Development in the Caribbean,” which takes place from July 26 to 29, 2022. The seminar will utilise a hybrid format, with some registrants attending in-person at the Courtney Blackman Grande Salle and others participating online.

“We are very pleased that after two years of hosting the seminar exclusively online, we are able to return, to a limited extent, to a face-to-face event,” said Anton Belgrave, Director of the Bank’s Research and Economic Analysis Department (READ). “But whether people join us in person or online, it promises to be an educational and thought-provoking event that will explore some of the areas that will be critical to Barbados’ and the Caribbean’s future success.”

The full list of sub-themes scheduled to be covered during the four-day event are:

  • Economic Growth and the Pandemic: Progress of Caribbean Economies
  • Economic Development: Well-Being Beyond the Numbers
  • Being Data Dependent: The Role of Data in Decision Making
  • Financial Sector Innovation: Transitioning Towards a Digital Economy
  • Public Sector Reform: The Road to Debt Sustainability
  • External Sector Dynamics: Resilience to Economic Shocks
  • The Green Economy and Climate Change Risk: Strategic Planning for a Sustainable Future

Registration for the Annual Review Seminar is free and open to the public. Get more information and then register before July 19.
