The event honoured 59 members of staff for their contributions to the institution and to national development, including 29 recipients of Special Awards and 30 employees recognised for long service.

In his address, Dr., The Most Honourable Kevin Greenidge, F.B., Governor of the Central Bank of Barbados,  underscored the importance of excellence as a core value guiding the Bank’s mission, noting that it is reflected not only in outcomes but in the daily conduct, professionalism, and collaboration.

The evening’s highest honour, the prestigious Governor’s Award, went to the Human Resources team  of Stephanie Bowen, Ronnie Cummins, Marsha Depradine, Destiny Gittens, Denisha Jordan, Mya Kirton, Kimberley McDonald, Danielle Niles, Akeba Pollard, Sueann Rodney, Anthony Small, and Melissa Williams.

The team was recognised for its outstanding contribution to employee engagement and organisational culture, delivering a wide range of impactful initiatives that strengthened morale, unity, and pride across the Bank while enhancing its public image.

Additional special awards were presented across several categories, including Exemplary Work, Innovation, Team Spirit, Giving Back, Going Above and Beyond the Call of Duty, Service Excellence, and Best Shot of the Year.

The ceremony also celebrated employees who reached significant career milestones at the Bank, with long-service awards spanning five to 45 years.

This year’s 45-year awardees were Deveda Deane, Analyst/Programmer in the Management Information Systems Department; Estherline O’Neal, Deputy Director (Ag.), Bank Supervision, and Angela Smith-Callender, Senior Auditor, Internal Audit.

Governor Greenidge commended long-serving staff for their enduring commitment, institutional knowledge, and role in shaping the Bank’s culture and legacy.
