This paper uses parametric and nonparametric methods to compare and contrast the characteristics od rhw different phases of Barbados and US Business cycles. The tow methods gave similarresults and indicated that the business cyclesof these countries are closely linked, with barbados cycle lagging behind the US by six months or so. This result is attribited ti the close trade relationship that exist betwen these two countries
