This paper investigates whether neural networks (NN) can be usefully employed in collaboration with discriminant analysis to produce models which provide a good representation of corporate performance for the Caribbean and whether such models have good forecasting ability. The data are tested for the case of commercial banks in Barbados, Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago.
