The apparent globalization of the world economy has led to several questions concerning the threat of renewal protectionism and the impact that these Global Arrangements are likely to have on the economies of the developing and less developed world. This chapter attempts to review the theory of economic integration highlighting more so its implications for the renewed integration schemes which are emerging in developing economies.
