This paper aims to contribute to the empirical public choice literature by expanding the original study by [Dr. Roland] Craigwell to include an analysis of the Trinidad and Tobago economy. It outlines a model based on the public choice approach to expenditure growth. It presents data and empirical results for the two Caribbean countries of Barbados and Trinidad and Tobago.
