The focus of this paper is to analyze the impact of interest rate policies on the Barbados economy since 1973. In particular, it examines whether interest rates have hampered or stimulated the volume of saving growth. It looks at the effect of interest rate policies on macroeconomic stability. Finally, some conclusions are given.
