CENTRAL BANK PANEL DISCUSSION TO FOCUS  ON MACRO ECONOMIC POLICY  REDESIGN  IN  LIGHT OF GLOBAL CHALLENGES

The 31st Annual Review Seminar features a July 26th panel discussion which will see senior representatives of several regional Central Banks sharing their experiences and perspectives on the effects of the present recession as it relates to the Seminar theme, “Macroeconomic Policy and the Way Forward: Redesigning Economic Policy in the Context of Global Challenges”.  Interested persons are invited to attend the Panel Discussion, scheduled for 3:15-5:30 p.m. at the Frank Collymore Hall.

The Moderator will be Harold Codrington, Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Barbados, and panelists include Wayne Robinson (Jamaica), Dr. Gobind Ganga (Guyana), Rohan Stowe (Eastern Caribbean Central Bank), as well as Dave Seeratan (Caribbean Centre for Money and Finance) and a representative from the Trinidad and Tobago Central Bank. The ensuing discussion is expected to be extremely informative.

The Annual Review Seminar provides a unique forum for economists to share their latest research. The overall response to this year’s event  has been excellent thus far, say organisers at the Central Bank of Barbados, and general registration for all other sessions is now closed.

There is no fee for attending but guests are asked to pre-register by contacting Ms. Roxanne Hinds at the Central Bank, at (246) 227-8243 or roxanne.hinds@centralbank.org.bb.
