Bank to Host One-Day CARICOM Governors' Meeting

CARICOM Central Bank Governors will discuss regional economic and financial stability issues when they assemble in Barbados for a one-day meeting at the Barbados Hilton on November 11.


The occasion is the 37th Bi-Annual CARICOM Governors meeting.  The Committee of CARICOM Central Bank Governors, which is an official organ of the regional integration movement, meets twice a year in a member country to discuss economic and financial issues of mutual import.


Governor Dr. DeLisle Worrell will chair the closed-door sessions at which about 30 participants from regional central banks and monetary authorities, the CARICOM Secretariat, the Caribbean Centre for Money and Finance, the Caribbean Technical Assistance Centre, the Latin American Centre for Monetary Studies and the International Monetary Fund, will attend.
The Committee of CARICOM Central Bank Governors meets twice a year in a member country. The Committee last met in May this year.
