Central Bank to Host Know Your Money Seminars
The Central Bank of Barbados will host two Know Your Money seminars aimed at teaching the public how to check the validity of their currency on Thursday, June 7, 2012 in the Grande Salle of the Tom Adams Financial Centre. The first session is scheduled for 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and the second from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
“We have decided to have two sessions again because we were able to reach more people when we did it last year,” explained Octavia Gibson, Deputy Director, Currency. “We hope to teach even more Barbadians how to protect themselves from counterfeiters this year.”
The sessions will be co-presented by Matt West, Regional Manager for De La Rue, the company that prints Barbados’ banknotes and Sherri Bishop, a Currency Officer at the Central Bank.
Know Your Money is free of charge and is open to the public.
