About the Billion Dollar Dreams Forum
This year the Bank celebrates the 40th anniversary of the Sir Winston Scott Memorial Lecture series. On this momentous occasion, the Bank has invited Mr. Nicholas Brathwaite, Founding Partner, Riverwood Capital, California, U.S.A., to deliver the lecture on Monday, November 23 at 8:00 p.m. He has titled his presentation “Technology, Innovation and Entrepreneurship: Igniting Economic Growth, Enhancing Global Significance and Fuelling Socio-Economic Advancement in the Commonwealth Caribbean.”
As a further celebration of this very auspicious occasion, the Bank will host a forum, targeted at young Barbadian entrepreneurs between the ages of 18 and 35, under the theme “Billion Dollar Dreams” with host, Toni Thorne, herself a young businessperson.
The objectives of the event are to:

Provide an opportunity for young businesspeople to interact with and learn from an international investor, entrepreneur, innovator and technology expert;

Provide an opportunity for young entrepreneurs to make a pithy, impressive sales pitch and to receive valuable feedback on what works, how it works, when, etc.

Provide an opportunity for young Barbadian businesspeople to turn their dreams into a billion dollar reality.
