During her two-week visit to Barbados, Dr. Linda Tesar, the Central Bank of Barbados' 6th Distinguished Visiting Fellow, will be the special guest at the 2019 Caribbean Economic Forum, a live, 90-minute discussion hosted by veteran regional journalist, Julian Rogers, where they will discuss the topic "In a World of Rising Debt, How Can Caribbean Countries Stay Afloat?" That event will be broadcast on CBC TV8, VOB 92.9, CMC stations, and Digicel Play as well as livestreamed on the Central Bank’s website and Facebook page.
Tesar, a professor of economics at the University of Michigan, will also conduct several sessions, including for students at the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill, the Barbados Economics Society, local international tax experts, and Central Bank staff. She will also meet with government and private sector officials.
